How allergen-friendly is Pretzilla® Soft Pretzel Bread?
Our facility is free from peanuts and tree nuts. Our Pretzilla® Burger Buns, Sausage Buns, Mini Buns, Bites (4oz), and Bites (12.3oz and 16.5oz tub) do not contain tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, soy protein, fish, and shellfish. The Bites with Cheese Dip (6ct) do contain dairy, but otherwise do not contain tree nuts, peanuts, eggs, soy protein, fish, and shellfish. As the cheese is a component and not an ingredient, it enters and leaves our facility in a hermetically sealed container. Our products are also free from sesame and coconut. Our products do contain wheat and gluten. They also contain vegetable protein derived from corn. While it is not an ingredient, sunflower lecithin is an ingredient in a material that comes into contact with our products.
We make a concerted effort to avoid cross-contamination. Our facility is SQF Level 2 certified and has strict systems in place for assessing allergens (HACCP, FDA Preventive Control Program). If you have any additional questions about our allergen controls, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Are Pretzilla® products vegan, kosher, or clean label?
Yes! Our Pretzilla® Soft Pretzel Bread is vegan, Kosher, and clean label. Our vegan certification comes from Vegan.org. Our Kosher certification comes from Chicago Rabbinical Council: these products are also pareve and pas yisroel. These products do not contain any artificial preservatives.
What's the best way to prepare Pretzilla® Bites?
Like most bread products, Pretzilla® Bites are best warm: simply toast 4-5 minutes in a medium-heat skillet or 300˚F oven.
For serving, Pretzilla® Bites work great as a fun snack or party appetizer whether they're served with dips (mustard or cheese are classics), as mini sandwiches (cut in half and add meatballs for sliders), or as something sweet (try drizzling with honey and salt). Find more recipes here.
How do I salt Pretzilla® Bites?
Depending on the serving method, you may choose to add salt to your Pretzilla® Bites. To apply, lightly moisten the Bites with water (using a brush, spray bottle, or your hands) and sprinkle immediately with enclosed salt packet. If heating in the oven, we recommend adding salt before heating. Otherwise, you can still add salt afterwards or without heating.
What's the best way to enjoy Pretzilla® Buns?
Like the Bites, Pretzilla® Buns are best toasted, whether that's in a skillet, toaster, or grill. 45 to 60 seconds are typically all it takes on medium heat.
The Pretzilla® Burger Buns, Sausage Buns, and Mini Buns are great for burgers, sausages, and sliders as their names might imply. However, they also make great deli sandwiches for enjoyment throughout the year. Find more creative recipes here.
If I'm served a pretzel bite, how can I tell it's a Pretzilla® Bite?
Look for the distinctive mahogany brown color with off-white ends!
How long do Pretzilla® products stay fresh?
Pretzilla® Soft Pretzel Bread is made without artificial preservatives so you should enjoy soon or freeze for longer storage. The product is safe to eat through the sell by date on the package (applied by the retailer), but the quality will always be best closer to the date of purchase. Freezing the product will preserve the product quality best longer-term. To consume, simply thaw unopened on the counter at room temperature for a couple hours.
We do not recommend refrigerating Pretzilla® products at all as it dries the product out.
